Our hub isn’t a menu with a “Fight” button. It’s one persistent server with every player on it at once. Whoever’s logged in is right there next to you.
What’s there now:
- The stash. Whatever’s in it survives both a death in a raid and a server restart.
- Squads and the Guide’s car: stand still next to it for five seconds and you’re off to the Zone.
- Proximity voice and channel-based radio.
- A campfire you can just stand by.
- No shooting. At all. Not even at the guy blocking the doorway.
The rest of the hub is empty for now. And that’s good: we’ll fill it with what you actually need.
Questions:
- Player trading. Right now the only way is to drop an item (G in the inventory) and let the other person pick it up. Want more: a proper hand-to-hand trade with confirmation, or a bulletin board so you don’t stand around for half an hour?
- What to do while you wait for your squad? Shooting range, bar, fistfights, a tournament — or nothing, just get me out of here?
- How long are you willing to spend in the hub? Five minutes between raids or the whole evening?
- How would people ruin the hub if they can’t shoot? Spam, a crowd at the car, a blocked doorway. Tell us now, while we can still plug the holes.
- Shared spaces in other games. What worked there, and what killed any wish to go in?
Be blunt. Even if your answer is “sit by the fire and say nothing.” That’s an answer too.
