Hub dispatcher memo. Squad assembly protocol. Read it before boarding. After boarding there's nobody left to read it.
- Squads form in the hub. Squads don't form in the Zone. In the Zone, squads get taken apart.
- Pick a meeting point in the Zone here, in case you get scattered. Do not suggest the hangar. It echoes, and your footsteps show up to the meeting before you do.
- Before heading out: the stash. Take what you don't mind leaving on your body. Take a bandage regardless.
- Agree on a radio channel here, in the hub. In the Zone there won't be time to pick one.
- Boarding: the whole squad at the Guide's car, five seconds, no moving. Backpacks get packed in the stash, not at the car.
- In a column, the flashlight belongs to the point man. Nobody else is a Christmas tree. People see your light long before they see you.
- Don't leave the wounded behind. Walk up, pick the aid action with the mouse wheel, hold E. While you hold it, two of you have busy hands, so a third keeps watch.
- One person searches a body. Two people over one corpse means two backs nobody is covering.
- Campfire only on the squad leader's order. It can be seen from far away, and it gives away the whole squad, not just the cook.
- Do not feed. Anyone. This isn't a rule of the protocol. It's the reason there is a protocol.
Post your squad's own rules below, under the developer's question. He reads them.
Over and out.
