You can’t play yet, so we do the showing: screenshots, GIFs, clips straight from the engine. The first clip is already recorded: a fight at a door. We’ll post it once it’s polished. After that, it’s your call.
The options. All of this is already in the game, nothing made up:
- Night and the flashlight. The AI sees you by how lit you are: the flashlight gives you away, darkness hides you.
- Bushes. Freeze in a dense bush with your light off and nobody spots you from afar. Fire a shot and they do.
- The bottle. You throw it, it rings, the infected follow the ring. You go the other way.
- The campfire. Cooks meat and can be seen from far away. Your dinner or your life.
- Hands and backpack. Tearing a rag into bandages, loading a magazine round by round, packing a backpack where big items take several cells.
- Roofs, canopies and windows. Trees open up above you, and light inside houses comes only through windows and doors, for you and the AI alike.
- Bandit squads. They move in squads and shout your position to each other.
- Walls vs. cheats. What does a hacked client see when an enemy is behind a wall? Nothing. The server never sent it.
- The hub. The stash, the campfire and five seconds by the Guide’s car.
How to vote: a number and one sentence on why. Two numbers if you really can’t choose. All nine doesn’t count.
And a separate question: which format works best for you — a short GIF, a captioned screenshot, or a clip with a breakdown?
We’ll start with whatever gets the most votes. Results and the first shot go up as a reply in this thread.
